Young Geon Award Winner of the Graduation Works Exhibition

Since ancient times, our people have recognized mountains as a line, and the natural element of mountains has naturally become one of the many identities of Korean architecture.
Namsan (Mokmyoksan: 木覓山), one of the four major mountains of Hanyang City, which was created in this context, is a place that has its historical, place, and identity. There is a problem that it represents the wrong image.
As an architectural solution to the current situation, by deriving the shipping elements of Namsan and designing a building with a unique Korean identity, the historical, place, and identity restoration of Korean architecture aiming for the coexistence of nature and architecture, I want to show the world how I treat architecture with an attitude.

As I progressed my graduation work, I wanted to present an answer to the problem that there is no correct answer of Korean architecture through my work.
The project of destroying the Namsan Hyatt Hotel and building a concert hall is difficult to realize due to business feasibility and other practical issues, but was designed with a challenging and innovative attitude that students could try. Through this process, Korean architecture and the future of Korean architecture I think it will be remembered as a meaningful work because I can seriously think about it.

In addition, in 2020, when COVID-19, which is an unprecedented national crisis, has helped, all the people who have supported us to finish the work with many shortcomings and all the professors at the College of Architecture at Myongji University generously taught us the knowledge throughout the establishment I would like to express my gratitude and respect to the students. Finally, I thank the professor.
