Start-up Incubator
Proposal of type of co-working office that develops with the community through organic void in which the two flow connect.
KWON, Soyoung Architecture Program, Class of 2021, Instructor : Lee, Jae In
Start-up Incubator, located in Simgok-dong, Bucheon, Gyeonggido.
It is a coworking office that develops with local communities in the metropolitan area.
With the transportation infrastructure of Bucheon Station on Line 1 convenient for transportation between Seoul and Incheon,
Bucheon University is nearby, where local talent always comes and goes.
In between, a start-up incubator is located in the middle of urban planning and a large number of walking routes.
The area was planned as a commercial area, and public spaces in dense cities were small and underdeveloped.
While actively providing insufficient public space (especially green), floor space rate incentives are available.
Small-scale start-ups are growing in step with the ‘untact’ era.
In order to promote and maintain the company, we need space for exhibition/experience/promotion, not market.
If a public space is planned in a place close to the workplace, with opportunities to promote the company,
it will be a big issue for the community if it is a space that anyone can come and enjoy.
The movement of workers in existing rental offices is simple.
Due to additive planning, there is no variety of experience.
Therefore, a coworking office is proposed that can be actively collaborated with other existing offices
by separating work spaces, work support spaces, and public spaces.
