As the global population increasing, and they moves from rural areas to cities to enjoy job opportunities, infrastructure, education, and leisure activities, urban populations are growing while agricultural populations are declining. This situation raises the question, "What would agriculture look like if it took place in the city?" For the answer, we propose a prototype for a new type of agricultural production facility in future urban areas.

Vertical plant factories located in urban areas will function within the context of the city, serving as a place of rest for urban residents. Rather than pursuing agriculture separated from existing life, they will become an integrated part of the daily lives of city dwellers.

By combining smart farms with residential spaces, people will naturally encounter smart farms in their daily lives, and various communities will emerge from the integration of housing and smart farms. Housing combined with smart farms can be presented as a new form of housing in future cities, where residents can directly operate their own small smart farms. Smart farms, combined with housing, will also gain the opportunity to operate as a program within everyday life, rather than as separate cultivation facilities located away from consumption.
