'빈.zip archive' is a renovation project as part of Korean-style urban regeneration. This project, which selected Okin-dong, the largest distribution of empty houses in Seoul, as the target site, seeks to break away from the most violent or passive current alternative to empty houses and look at empty houses, which are treated as Urban Negative Elements in a more architectural methodology, as positive elements of urban regeneration.
Through a series of processes that uncover clues to Okin-dong's hidden time and values, the identity of the community called Ogin-dong was defined, and based on this framework of interpretation, elements such as empty houses, Hanok, old waterways, and brick houses were compressed into a compressed file. integrated. Through this, Ogin-dong in Seoul, which we did not know about, was recreated as a transitional spatial architecture that connects the past and present through the designer's rational interpretation. We propose a new way of urban regeneration through flexible movement lines and flows through Landscape Architecture and the existing valueless elements of empty houses that have accumulated over time, from Hanoks in the 1900s to Yonwa-jo houses in the 1960s to the present.
