Dongdaemun Apartment is a modern residential building built in the 60s and 70s and has value as an architectural form different from the space produced in the present era.
The high and narrow courtyard of Dongdaemun Apartment and its corridors are stacked in layers, showing a unique sense of space that cannot be easily experienced in current Korean buildings.

However, as high-rise buildings were built near Jongno, visual and physical accessibility decreased
Due to the nature of the apartment, there is a limited space for people to use, and Dongdaemun apartments, people, and cities are unable to communicate due to problems such as the concentration of internal arrangements toward the central courtyard.
Despite the intrinsic value of a building, it acts as a factor that makes it "forgotten" in the city.

In this situation, we will solve the current problem so that the value of the building is not erased, while "preserving" some of the space so that as many people as possible can enjoy the value.
In the process, Dongdaemun Apartment is transformed into a space where new and richer experiences can be experienced as new values ​​are 'overlaid' on the existing traces.
