Movie - Walk_
Proposed Chungmuro Film Media Center for Film Culture Experience
Park Jeonghun Architecture Program, Class of 2024, Instructor : Kim, Nam Hoon
Chungmuro has long been a symbolic street for Korean movies. Over time, the movie market has gradually changed due to the development of OTT, etc., and Chungmuro is gradually stagnating. The number of direct visits and experiences of the culture of film has decreased significantly since COVID-19. In order to restore the glory of the mecca of movies called Chungmuro and prepare for the future, I think a new direction and space suitable for it are needed. Accordingly, I thought that Chungmuro would need a space where I could enjoy the culture of film itself.
Film is a unique and fascinating collection of art that stimulates our imagination and shakes our emotions.
It is not an easy experience to provide an experience beyond just being projected onto a screen. In the culture of "film", literary genres such as scenarios, expressive genres such as acting, auditory effects such as music, and art such as visual effects and graphics are embodied.
As it is a space to enter Chungmuro, it provides new inspiration and experience to visitors who love film culture as a space where they can experience all aspects of art in accordance with the theme of "movie" with its historicity.
