인터넷 시대의 도래로 경제는 물론 교육, 예술계까지 '디지털 전환'이 이루어지고 있다. 이로 인해 서로의 얼굴을 마주하고, 오감을 공유하는 기회가 줄어들고 있다. 이러한 인터넷 혁명 시대의 사회적 행위의 한계성을 문제점으로 제시하며 온라인으로 대체될 수 없는 공간의 필요성을 제안한다. 인류는 수공간을 다양한 행태로 이용했는데, 이는 수공간이 정적인 힐링의 공간, 동적인 여가 공간, 촉감 또는 물을 공유하는 공간, 커뮤니티의 공간으로 작용할 수 있는 가능성을 보여준다. 따라서 수공간은 온라인 디지털화 되어가는 인터넷 혁명 시대에서 대체 불가능한 공간의 정점이자 인류에게 최후로 남을 공공공간인 셈이다.

호모 루덴스는 유희의 인간을 뜻하는 용어로 인간의 본질을 유희라는 점에서 파악하는 인간관이다. 인터넷 혁명 시대를 겪고 있음과 동시에 현대인의 트렌드는 호캉스와 같은 ‘스테이케이션(Staycation)'으로 향하고 있는데, 이는 현대인들이 빠르고 편리한 사회를 보내고있음에도 ’힐링 행위’를 놓치지 않고있음을 보여준다. 힐링 중에서도 시간을 얼마만큼 소유하고 어떻게 소비하느냐에 대한 관심도가 높아지면서, 바쁜 일상 속에서 큰 시간과 노력을 소비하지 않고 만족감을 느낄 수 있는 패스트 힐링(Fast Healing)의 유행으로 도출된다. 따라서 본 프로젝트의 프로그램은 유희를 위한 수공간인 레저시설로 설정하였다.

이와 같은 프로그램이 인간의 욕망, 환상과 쾌락을 그래도 드러내 보인다는 점에서 현실적이지 못하고 자본주의의 21세기에선 필요치 않은 행위라고 여겨지기도 하지만 가장 사실적이며, 인간의 무의식과 욕망을 그대로 드러낼 수 있다는 점에서 의미가 있고, 대도심의 현실성 고갈을 해소하기 위한 환상을 불어 넣는다는 점에서 도심 속 최후로 남게 될 공공공간은 물을 이용한 유희 공간이라는 것을 제안한다.



With the advent of the Internet era, not only the economy but also the education and the art world are facing "the digital transformation". As a result, there are fewer opportunities to face each other and share five senses amongst people. The limitations of social behavior in this era of the Internet Revolution are presented as a problem and the need for space that cannot be replaced online is proposed. Human beings used water space in various ways, which shows the potential to act as a static healing space, a dynamic leisure space, a space to share touch or water, and a space for communities. Therefore, water space is the peak of an irreplaceable space in the era of the Internet Revolution, which is becoming online digitally, and the last public space that will remain for mankind.

Homo Ludens is a term describing human beings in play, which understands the nature of human beings in terms of play. While going through the era of the Internet Revolution, the trend of modern people is heading to "Staycation," such as spending their vacation in a hotel, which shows that modern people are not missing "getaway" even though they are having a fast and convenient society. Among getaways, as interest in how much time they own and how they spend grows, it is derived from the trend of fast getaways that allow them to feel satisfied without spending much time and effort in their busy lives. Therefore, the program of this project was set up as a leisure facility, a water space for entertainment.

Such programs are not realistic in that they still reveal human desires, fantasies, and pleasures, and are considered unnecessary in the 21st century of capitalism, but they are most realistic and meaningful in that they can reveal human unconsciousness and desires. It is suggested that the space that will replace the changed functions of the city center, that will blow up fantasies to resolve the reality of the city, is a fun space using water.
